Last night I sat at dinner with a friend and checked my email every five minutes or so. A little bit rude? Yeah, but I think I had a reasonable excuse.  I was waiting on the results from the first tier judging on my entries to the San Diego County Fair!

Are you ready for the big news? Four out of the six photos that I entered were accepted!! This is the first time I've entered a juried competition and I'm excited to have made it this far. Last year's photo exhibit at the fair was awesome so I know I'm up against some very talented people.

So, which photos made the cut?

The next step will be the second-tier judging, determining who placed in each category.  I have my fingers crossed that I place with at least one of my photos, but like I said, there is a lot of competition. It is a great pat on the back to have made it this far!
